Alyza’s Chicken Gyro, a new independent eatery specializing in authentic NYC street cart food, opened on Friday, August 25th, offering a delectable range of halal dishes that capture the essence of New York’s vibrant street food scene. Alyza’s Chicken Gyro was named after Jimmy’s 7-year-old daughter Alyza.
Alyza’s Chicken Gyro, operated by Jimmy Tarar, brings the flavors of the city to Plattsburgh with a menu that boasts an array of signature dishes. Customers can indulge in a variety of options including lamb, chicken, and beef gyros, falafels, hummus, basmati rice, fries, and mouthwatering chicken wraps. What sets Alyza’s apart is its distinctive “famous white sauce,” a secret recipe that adds a unique touch to every dish.
Jimmy states that with thousands of street cart vendors in NYC the competitive edge in the gyro business is in the sauce. The sauce is what can create long lines for street carts in the city or break a business.
Friday’s opening was well welcomed by the community with a long line of customers eager to try the new food court eatery.
