The 7th annual Trick or Treat for Books will be held this Thursday, October 20th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The event is a healthier alternative to trick or treating, turning the focus off of candy and instead focusing on activities and games.
Families are encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook characters or wear other friendly costumes. During the event, there will be an opportunity to meet and greet with some local community organizations to learn about resources available for families. Literacy-related information and fun kid activities will also be available. Nancy Langlois School of Dance will be performing a Halloween themed dance in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods throughout the event. Pipsqueak the clown will be onsite offering free face painting. Children are encouraged to take home free books as treats!
